A Successful Soiree at The Faces of Astarte Collective

On October 17th, the Faces of Astarte Collective held a Bewitching Soiree in participation with Think Local Little Falls, Oktoberfest.

The day began wet and dreary, which is perfect weather to celebrate all things spooky.

The atmosphere was thick with excitement as the events began to start in the city of Little Falls, the Happy Haggs Dance Troupe, the Zombie Run and 50/50 Poker Run started with a bang, while local eateries and shops slashed prices and offered special festive deals.

At 407 Canal Place, The Faces of Astarte Collective prepared for a night of fun and laughter. The sweet smell of apple cider and popcorn wafted through the air, but the most alluring smells were the enchanting essential oil blends Lisa Wasielewski-Morocco was concocting.

Christine Shahin Woods and her intern Gael were creating devine God & Goddess masks for children and adults, Caren Direen gave palm readings, while Lisa Monohan and I were giving tarot card readings.

The Rose Star metaphysical boutique, offers sage, incense, Reiki (by appointment only), jewelry, Herkimer crystals and diamonds from the Russell Family Mine. Specially selected jewelry and homemade room sprays made their debut from Curiosities & Oddities.

The Bewitching Soiree was a great opportunity for members of the community to come in from the cold, and warm-up with tasty treats and family-fun activities. There was a lot of laughter, eating and shopping!

All around, it was a bewitching evening in the city of Little Falls. Think Local Thursday drew in a great number of families, eager to participate in the spirit of Halloween and helped support small business in the process.
